The locomotives of the E 41 series (from 1968: 141) were first delivered to the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railway) in 1956 for light and mixed service on main lines with a top speed of 120 km/h and a continuous power output of 2,310 kW. As the only series in the standard locomotive program, they were equipped with a switching mechanism on the low-voltage side of the transformer. The switching mechanism had a characteristic noise, which, along with the large fluctuations in tractive effort, led to the nickname "Knallfrosch" (firecracker). Locomotive 141 152 was repainted very soon after the introduction of the orient red locomotive livery in November 1987 and retained this livery until its retirement at the end of 2002.

ドイツのガチャコン機関車？

ドイツの傑作機関車です。
ざっくり前面に折り目がついているのがBR110、丸っこいのがBR140となります。
本製品の時代はEP:Ⅴ、ちょっと薄い？赤色塗装のスタイルです。
お相手は同時代の近郊型客車（シルバーリンゲ）辺りを牽かせるとよさそうです。

DCC搭載でクリアなサウンドが楽しめますが、注目すべきはその駆動音！
起動、加速の際に破裂音の様な「バチッバチッ」という音が響き渡ります。

サウンドの面白い機関車ですので満足感の高い一品です。
